Your sansevieria is a succulent, so it holds moisture in its leaves. Wait until the soil is completely dry to water.

A sansevieria can handle a wide range of humidities. Average househould humidity is ideal.
Pests & Problems:
These guys are easy to care for, but will rot If overwatered. They are not prone to pests, but if you see spider mites just rinse them off and increase humidity. Mealy bugs can be removed with an alcohol soaked q-tip.
