VEQ Ceramics: Penacho Vessel No.2

Inspired by the penacho, or feathered headdress, this piece is meant to inspire a feeling of radiance, expansiveness and upliftment. Feathers were valued similarly to jade and turquoise in Mesoamerica, and were believed to have magical properties as symbols of fertility, abundance and riches; those who used the headdresses were associated with divine powers and the world of the sacred.
